Mike Belgrave Stand Up Comedian
Mike Belgrave is an Irish West Indian Stand Up Comedian from Shepherds Bush in London.
He didn't know it himself, but he decided to be a stand up comedian when he watched Saturday Night Live in the 80s. Many years later he trawled around the London open mic circuit where he found not only new friends and a way to hone his talents, but also a love for doing stand up comedy that made him want to pursue it for a full time job.
Many years later armed with a back catalogue failed relationships and a distinct lack of sleep, his dream became true and he gave up his job in the library (yes he used to be able to keep quiet).
Since then Mike has performed in Ireland, Barcelona and as the main compere for the Rhodes Rock festival as well as performing many shows at the Edinburgh festival that audiences flock to, but reviewers avoid like the plague.
He has a Bsc in Multimedia Systems and is currently studying a Masters Degree in Digital Film and Animation just for the hell of it. When Mike isn't doing comedy or his MA he also makes homemade music videos and researches and makes video podcasts about Outsider Music. So much so he is a self titled Outsider Music Musicologist.
